南の海 Sea in the south

糸満の米須にある、南の海。
昔日本が鎖国時代にこの海だけは開いていた。
ジョン万次郎は漂流して、外国船に助けられ、文化えを学び、再び日本に帰るが、この南の海だけが彼を受け入れてくれた。東や西の海と違い、沖のほうはいつでも波が荒い。
